Plans to further expand a Belfast city centre hotel have been given the green light.Scottish Amicable House on Donegall Square South will be refurbished from offices to additional hotel accommodation for the adjacent Ten Square Hotel.The project will be the second expansion of the venue to have been given planning permission this year, with work already underway for the conversion of the former Lesley House on Linenhall Street into 46 additional rooms.This latest expansion will add a further 66 en-suite rooms.A number of new-build hotels or hotel expansion projects have been approved this year, including Andras Houses’s Holiday Inn Express on University Street being extended by 60 bedrooms, Cedarr Properties building a four-storey, 17-bedroom boutique travel hotel on Bank Street, and a 188-bedroom venue being developed on Belfast Harbour.
