A national chain of dessert parlours could be set to launch its first venue in Derby after a planning application was approved.In August, Insider revealed that Kaspas, which has 20 sites across the Midlands, London, Wales, Scotland and the North, South West and South East of England, had submitted proposals to change the use of a building opposite intu Derby.The application has since been approved by Derby City Council, paving the way for the transformation of the ground floor and part of the first floor at 6-8 Osmaston Road.The parlour, which will serve a range of luxury desserts with American and Italian influences, will be open from 9am to 11pm Monday to Thursday and Sundays and from 9am to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.The premises was previously an IT training centre and has been vacant since August 2015.In May, Insider reported that planners had also given an escape room business the green light to transform another part of the building into its latest venture known as Make Your Escape.
