Revised proposals for the residential redevelopment of a historic Leeds property designed by the architect behind Leeds Grand Theatre and the City Library have been recommended for approval.Spenfield House, in Far Headingley, was built in 1875 and is grade II*-listed. Designed by George Corson, the ornate house was owned by Leeds City Council Water Board and then Yorkshire Water.After a period as a conference centre and catering school, Spenfield was acquired by Henry Kordowitz’s Round Strategies and is now out of use.Plans drawn up by Pearce Bottomley Architects seek permission to develop six flats and a studio in the old house and build seven terraced houses in the garden.
