Construction on a new closed road circuit in Hull is expected to start before the year is out after British Cycling gave the go-ahead to the facility.A successful funding bid from Hull City Council and Hull Culture and Leisure Ltd now means the 1km closed road circuit, at land adjacent to Ennerdale Leisure Centre in north Hull can now come to fruition.Construction work is due to commence before the new year, the new facility is hoped to be completed by August 2017.The circuit will be available for use by local cycling clubs and the wider public of all ages and abilities, providing a safe, traffic-free environment for cyclists to learn, train and compete.
