Willmott Dixon has started work on a multi-million pound scheme that will transform Lincoln’s city centre following the confirmation of £11m funding from the Department for Transport.The £30m Lincoln Transport Hub is a key regeneration project for the city, which will deliver significant benefits for businesses, residents and visitors.The City of Lincoln Council-led scheme will see the construction of a new, state-of-the-art bus station, 1,000 space multi-storey car park, retail units and pedestrian plaza area connecting the new facilities with Lincoln Central Railway Station.The project was procured under Scape Group’s National Major Works framework and will be delivered by Willmott Dixon. Scape has developed and managed construction industry frameworks for public sector clients throughout the UK for more than ten years, bringing together strong delivery teams and achieving measurable time, cost, quality and community benefits on every project. Willmott Dixon has been a partner on the framework for a decade.Work is expected to last up to 18 months.
