Kier has selected Spie UK for the £7m mechanical and electrical works package on the new Garnock Learning Campus near Glasgow.Kier is building the 17,000 m² campus for North Ayrshire Council to replace the existing Garnock Academy, Glengarnock Primary School and Kilbirnie Swimming Pool.Spie’s responsibilities site comprise mechanical and electrical works, including the installation of low temperature hot water (LTHW) heating, sanitary ware, LV switchgear, lighting and power, ventilation, fire alarms and security systems.The lighting control system will enable building managers to adjust brightness throughout the site, according to the provision of natural light, to save energy.
