United Living Group has been appointed by Network Homes to deliver a £30 million regeneration and development scheme at The Ridgeway in Hertfordshire.Existing buildings on the site will be demolished and replaced with 34 houses and 86 flats together with associated infrastructure, landscaping and drainage.East Herts Council and the Homes and Communities Agency are supporting Network Homes with funding for the development, which will eventually comprise 87 homes for affordable and social rent and 50 homes for shared ownership.Existing residents have been involved with the project throughout and during the formal consultation they made clear their preference for redevelopment rather than refurbishment and they have continued to influence the final plans for the estate.Work will begin on site in the next few weeks and the new homes will be ready for occupation in 2018.
