The current contract for Markers in Bristol is projected to end on 28/1/2018 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for Markers in Bristol included Markers. Airfield Runway Markers. The Department has a requirement for tubular reflective markers to mark the edges of taxiways and roads at airfields. The markers are to provide daytime delineation of the operational areas and can be used to supplement edge lighting systems. The markers shall be easy to install, require no power and minimal maintenance. The post colours provide a 360 degree day and night time visibility.The markers shall be designed to be frangible, plastic in construction, highly visible and between 350mm – 1 metre high. They shall comply with the following Specifications:International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Annex 14 Chapter 5 Visual Aids for Navigation.Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) CAP 168.Federal Aviation Authority AC No 150/5345.An estimated 700 markers per year may be required over a 5 year contracted period.Expressions of Interest are required from suitable qualified companies who hold ISO 9001:2008 certification or an internationally recognised equivalent. Alternatively expressions of interest are invited from companies who meet the requirements of AQAP 2110 and can submit a draft Quality Plan which meets the requirements of AQAP2105. A statement illustrating the company’s work should also accompany the Expression of Interest.Companies should also include:A statement of turnover for the last 3 years including copies of annual reports.Details of any current or previous contracts with the Ministry of Defence.Companies may be required to complete a Pre Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) to assist the tendering process.
