Construction company Beard has started work on the £3.6m Somerdale Primary School project on the former Fry’s Somerdale chocolate factory site in Keynsham.The 240-place primary school and nursery, which is scheduled for completion in September 2017, is part of the wider 700-home Somerdale development from Taylor Wimpey.Beard, working with Quattro Design Architects, will construct seven new classrooms, a design and food technology room, and three group activity rooms with flexible work space. The scheme will also feature a grass play area, surrounded by two playgrounds.
