The current contract for Construction consultancy services in Edinburgh is projected to end on 11/5/2017 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for Construction consultancy services in Edinburgh included the provision of Mechanical Small Works and Associated Services up to 50 000 GBP to the University of Edinburgh’s Estate of approximately 600 varied buildings in Edinburgh and Midlothian. The activity is spread over 5 locations covering 800 000 square metres with student accommodation provided at the Pollock Halls of Residence and across a range of flats around city. Other locations include Central Edinburgh Area, Kings Buildings, Bush Estate, the Roslin Institute, the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and Firbush Outdoor Education Centre.The Framework will incorporate a Measured Term Contract utilising the Carillion Schedule of Rates for Mechanical Services ‘Sixth Edition 2011’ as listed below for routine works up to 50,000GBP in value. Please note the University of Edinburgh will not guarantee this and therefore Installations works may be less or more that those figures quoted in this paragraph.All of the University’s policies and procedures will apply to this framework agreement and can be viewed at the following link – .The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 and 2012 and all other current European and UK legislation will apply to this Framework Agreement and in addition to this the Scottish Measured Term Contract (MTC/Scot) (Incorporating SBCC Amendment issued April 2007 – CDM Regulations and Errata Sheet No. 1 dated March 2009) 2006 Edition issued October 2007.The framework agreement will be divided in 2 geographical zone lots – see details below:Lot 1 – Science & Engineering + Medical & Veterinary Buildings.Easter Bush.Lot 2 – Central Area Buildings + Pollock Halls of Residence Zone.A full list of every building in Lot 1 and Lot 2 is available within the PQQ documentation.Additional details of the University of Edinburgh campus can be found be found at the following link -!fileManager/campus_maps.pdf.The Framework Agreement will be awarded in 2 separate Lots and contractors will be asked to tender separately for each Lot.The University will be looking to appoint a separate contractor and a separate reserve contractor to each lot.Successful Contractors will not be allocated more than one Lot.Note the PQQ documentation is available to download via Intend and not via the PCS portal.
