A manufacturer and supplier of cellular pathology products has secured £565,000 in funding from HSBC to support construction of a 10,000 sq ft extension at its site in Newtown, Powys.CellPath, which currently has 20,000 sq ft warehouse on the Mochdre Industrial Estate, is building the extension to grow the consumables side of the business.The division designs and manufactures products for use in the pathology and cytology markets, such as tissue processing cassettes, microscope slide trays, and various laboratory equipment. The new building will enable it to increase warehousing, distribution and kit assembly, creating a number of new roles for existing staff.CellPath currently supplies more than 164 hospitals and NHS Trusts throughout the UK and sells its products to 43 countries worldwide.
