Newport brewery Tiny Rebel has received planning permission for a new £2.6m facility which will increase capacity and provide it with an events space.As well as the backing from Newport City Council, the brewery has also secured funding from the Welsh Government with a grant from Rural Development Programme.Tiny Rebel, founded four years ago by Brad Cummings and Gazz Williams, has recently found itself at full capacity.Its new brewery will expand production and storage, increasing capacity more than five-fold to five million litres annuallyThe site will also include a flexible events space with a fully-operational bar and kitchen. Tiny Rebel plans to use and hire the space for functions, beer festivals, pop-ups, live music and brewery events and tours.Tiny Rebel has previously opened two Urban Tap House pubs in Cardiff and Newport, and secured the Champion Beer of Britain 2015 title for its Cwtch ale.
