Bardsley has been appointed as main contractor for a £28m private rented sector (PRS) apartment scheme in ManchesterBardsley Construction has been appointed by developer Mulbury to build a block of 135 apartments at 97-105 Port Street in the Northern Quarter of Manchester.The eight to 14-storey development on the corner of Port Street and Great Ancoats Street marks Mulbury’s debut in the private rented sector (PRS). The project is financed by M&G Real Estate.Bardsley is due to start on site in November with occupation expected in the summer of 2018.When complete, Port Street will offer mainly one and two-bed apartments with balconies, communal roof top gardens, a reception area and 6,000 sq ft of commercial office space at ground level. The development was designed by Manchester firm Tim Groom Architects and secured planning permission from Manchester City Council in 2015.
