The Domestic Abuse Tactical & Coordination Model (MATAC) process is led by The Awarding Authority. Overall ownership of the MATAC process resides with the Head of Public Vulnerability and Protection (PVP) in GMP and reports into the Domestic Abuse Partnership Board.
The MATAC aims to identify and tackle serial perpetrators of domestic abuse, thereby safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, reducing domestic abuse offending and re-victimisation. To identify the most harmful perpetrators, the MATAC employs the Recency, Frequency, Gravity, and Victims (RFGV) analytical framework.
The overarching objectives of the specified location MATAC are to:
Protect adults and children at risk of domestic abuse.
Reduce the offending behaviour of domestic abuse perpetrators.
Foster collaboration among agencies to address domestic abuse effectively
This expression of interest is for a MATAC Perpetrator Officer to work alongside Bolton Greater Manchester Police and members of MATAC to case hold and work with those who harm on wider barriers to engaging with services.
MATAC members include key safeguarding and domestic abuse leads from Bolton GMP, Bolton Council, specialist domestic abuse services, Probation and NHS Foundation Trust.
The focus will be on supporting partners in delivering the MATAC process.
