Construction company Harris has secured a £7m contract to refurbish the former regional head office of Lloyd’s Bank at 7 Park Row in Leeds on behalf of CBRE Global Investors.Built in the early 1970s, the brown granite-clad 12 storey building straddles the intersection of Park Row and Bond Street, close to Leeds Railway Station and Trinity Leeds shopping centre. The works will commence in November 2016 and complete in September 2017, and will provide nine storeys of grade A office accommodation, with shell space for a new restaurant on the ground floor. Busaba Eathai has agreed to occupy a 6,000 sq ft unit on a 15-year lease.A key feature of the work will be the creation of additional floor space via cantilevered extensions of 1.5 m to the upper floors on three elevations of the existing building.
