A property developer has acquired a site on Birmingham’s Newhall Street for £45m, paving the way for the construction of hundreds of apartments.Spitfire Properties is leading the project with funding support from partner IM Properties.The site will be transformed into 230 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments over eight floors with retail space on the ground floor.Work is expected to begin in 2017 with the first apartments available in 2018.
