The Royal Navy, part of the Ministry of Defence, intends to enter into a contract with Babcock International Group for the provision of Pre-Installation Sandown Initial Survey for Sonar Updates.
The duration of the contract is expect to be 5 months with an estimated value of £40,000.00.
Babcock is the only supplier to have maintained Sandowns over the previous 25 years so it is considered they are the only contractor with sufficient knowledge to carry out the survey works. Babcock will also be carrying out the main modernisation works on the vessel.
