A Galway based energy company intend to make an application to Donegal County Council (DCC) for the erection of a wind turbine on the Údarás industrial estate in Gaoth Dobhair.The company ‘Lir Energy Ltd, is seeking full planning permission to seek one 1.5 Megawatt Vensys wind turbine with a hub height of 85m with a rotor diameter of 77m at the Derrybeg estate.A submission or observation in relation to the application may be made in writing to the planning authority on payment of a fee of €20 within the five weeks beginning on the date of receipt by the authority of the application. Such communications will be considered by the planning authority in making their decision in relation to the application.
