4. Description: County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service seek to appoint a contractor to complete an internal refurbishment of showers, lock room, & drying room.

Could we ask that you complete the attached Schedule of Works and Form of Tender when pricing.

We would encourage a site visit, this can be arranged through John Hancock 07976720824, and as copied. Site visits to be before 17th July.

Note that the works are planned for September with a notional 8 week duration, please do feel free to return an alternative Tender with a different duration should you feel the 8 week period is not practical.

Key Dates
Fri 28th June – On review of the documents should you decide you are unable to Tender please let us know by this date. Any tenderer who fails to notify before this date and then does not return will be excluded from future CDDFRS tenders.
Tue 17th July – deadline for any tender queries
Wed 25th July (noon) – Tender Return Date. Emailed to this address
Wed 1st August – Notification of preferred tenderer
Mon 12th August – Standstill period completes, formal appointment of Contractor
End September – Commencement on site (this is flexible depending on lead in times required on elements)
End November – Completion of works (contract period to be firmed up at appointment stage)

Note that responses to tender queries will be communicated to all tenderers by way of a live spreadsheet (with the identities removed). Please bear this in mind when communicating.
