The Awarding Authority is currently preparing to initiate a procurement process to award a contract for the provision of Marine Electrical Services. The contract requirements include carrying out inspections, testing, maintenance, installation and repairs of the electrical systems to ensure that the vessels comply with MCA regulations and retain Passenger Certificates. Northern Ireland Public Procurement Policy has mandated in PPN 01/21 that tenders for public contracts are assessed on the basis of social value, as well as cost and quality. The purpose of this pre-market engagement exercise is to consult with potential suppliers, in the form of a questionnaire, to identify the most feasible and beneficial way to promote social value. At this stage, any information gathered through this market consultation exercise may inform the subsequent procurement process and will NOT be appraised in any future tender evaluation exercise. Please note that participation or non-participation in this preliminary market consultation exercise shall not prevent any provider participating in any potential procurement process, nor is it intended that any information supplied shall place any provider at an advantage or disadvantage in any forthcoming procurement process. The questionnaire must be completed and returned via the Messaging function before 3pm on Wednesday 19th June 2024. There are no formal tender documents to be completed other than the questionnaire.
