The current contract for Construction work in Stockton-on-Tees is projected to end on 10/4/2017 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for Construction work in Stockton-on-Tees included a framework agreement pursuant to which it is envisaged that contracts will be let to contractors within the framework for the provision of a range of new build and refurbishment works. The proposed framework agreement will be in place for a maximum period of 4 years, however contracts called-off under the framework agreement may, where appropriate, continue for periods greater than 4 years.Under the framework agreement each member of North Star Housing Group (both current and future) will have the option to call-off contracts with individual contractors as and when works are required. In addition, other Social Housing Providers in the UK (both those that are in existence now and those that may come into existence during the term of the framework agreement) will also be entitled to call-off contracts under the framework agreement. Social Housing Provider for this purpose means any provider of social housing and includes registered housing providers, local authorities, local government ALMOs and unitary authorities. Such Social Housing Providers will only be entitled to call off under the framework agreement if North Star Housing Group consents.Applicants should note that, under the framework agreement, none of the members of North Star Housing Group (or any other Social Housing Provider) shall be under any obligation to call-off contracts with individual contractors.The framework agreement will be divided into 3 Lots. These Lots and the estimated value of the works to be called off under them over the 4 year term are set out in Annex B of this notice. Each applicant may bid for a maximum of 2 lots.
