The government of Jamaica invites bids for the renovation and upgrading at Jamaica Post locations.
This project involves the retrofitting the space to house NIDS offices and service centre, including

heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) installation

Half Way Tree Post Office
Scope of requirements
This specification requirement covers all the requirements that will be needed to inform the supplier/vendor/manufacturer to carry out what is expected from them.
The contract will be awarded as a turnkey project and the contractor will be responsible for all the work specified. This specification states the minimum requirements relating to the work and in no way absolves the contractor from responsibility for sound engineering practice.
Any omissions or sub-standard requirements of this specification must be brought to the attention of the client at tender stage and optional prices for addressing such omissions must be provided.
Working hours
Normal working hours shall apply of Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
Note however, that the contractor may be required to work at nights and on weekends in some instances, where the nature of work would affect Post Office operations during normal working hours. This should be taken into account and priced in the rates submitted.
Scope of work
The scope consists of modification and retrofitting of 4 20’ containers hoisted and placed on reinforced concrete plinths. All associated excavation and earthworks are to be executed under the contract to include site infrastructure works (drainage ramps, steps).

drywall partitioning
roofing
finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
ceiling finishes
windows and doors
sanitary fixtures
plumbing
HVAC installation
electrical and fire protection systems
camera
access control
The installation of specified furniture is also included. Upon completion the building will be equipped with three enrolment offices, a customer service area, comms room, rest room, and an outdoor eating and waiting area. Renovation works will also be carried out on the Post Office Building to include construction of lunch room and bathroom facilities.
Constant Spring Post Office
