4. Description: The Awarding Authority Offshore &; Subsea Technology Group (MOST) in the School of Engineering supports sustaining a zero-emission international shipping industry. We develop innovative smart, digital and autonomous maritime systems. We have a suite of world-leading experimental facilities which includes our cavitation tunnel, propulsion lab and hydrodynamics facilities. In order to support a wide range of research activities related to hydrodynamic, fluid mechanics, ship propulsion and manoeuvring, we are looking to purchase a Particle Image Velocimetry equipment that will enable us to conduct a non-intrusive, high-resolution optical flow measurement to study fluid flow patterns and velocities to operate high-accuracy instantaneous velocity measurements and produce three-dimensional fluid vector fields to analysis flow-structure interaction and explore new design on the ship Energy Saving Device (ESD)
