A pipeline has been launched for Early Release on Compassionate Grounds – Future Opportunity.The contract start Date is 1 December 2023. Approach to market date is 2 October 2023.This service is to cover all of HM Prisons, and service will be conducted remotely.The Public Protection Group (part of HMPPS) require independent medical advisors to provide a view whether an application meets the requirements in the Early Release on Compassionate Grounds Policy Framework. Advisors must be a qualified doctor with current registration to the General Medical Council, as per the ERCG Policy Framework.The medical advisor will be expected to review the reports, provide a plain English summary and provide a view on whether the clinical criteria for consideration for ERCG has been met.
