A pipeline has been launched for Supply of Workwear and Personal Protective Equipment. The contract start Date is 1 June 2024. Approach to market date is 1 September 2023.Kirklees Council is issuing this PIN to alert the market of the forthcoming procurement opportunity for the supply of Workwear and Personal Protective Equioment (PPE).The Council is seeking to appoint a supplier for the supply of Workwear and Personal Protective Equipment, that is reliable, cost effective, can supply high quality items of workwear and PPE to all Council departments, provide a high level of customer service and achieve Social Value outcomes to the Kirklees district. One Supplier will be appointed following the procurement process to deliver all of the Council’s requirements as a ‘one stop shop’.The contract will commence on 1 June 2024 and will be put in place for three years (36 months) to 31 May 2027 with the option to extend for a further year (12 months), making the final possible expiry date 31 May 2028. The extension will be offered at the Councils discretion. It is anticipated that this procurement will be issued in September 2023 via the YORtender system at B=YORTENDER. Interested suppliers must be registered on this site to access the procurement documents. This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly. When a public sector organisation publishes a pipeline notice, it does not necessarily mean that an opportunity will be offered in the future. For more information contact: Kirklees Council, Town Hall, Huddersfield HD12TA.
