This is a prior information notice to give suppliers advance notice that the Authority intends to initiate procurement activities for a support and maintenance contract for the Multi-Point Pressure Breathing Rig (MPPBR). The MPPBR is a ground-based training device, currently based within the RAF Centre for Aviation Medicine (RAF CAM) building based at RAF Henlow. It provides students with a realistic training experience of pressurised breathing using compressed air through aircraft oxygen breathing equipment.
The Authority’s requirement is for corrective, preventative and support maintenance of the MPPBR and associated in-service Post Design Service (PDS)/ad hoc tasking. In addition, the Authority is seeking the supplier to maintain, support and provide Design Organisation (DO) cover for the safe operation of the MPPBR.
