Plans have been lodged for the expansion of the Parc Pelenna holiday development near Neath, including new lodges, reception buildings and a swimming pool.Neath Port Talbot Council previously approved an application in August 2014 for 33 additional holiday lodges and equestrian facilities. The construction of 73 lodges had previously been proposed. But the discovery of gas main infrastructure led to a reduction in the number approved.Parc Pelenna has now submitted new plans covering the development of 42 timber holiday lodges together with reception buildings and a communal swimming pool. It is hoped that the expansion will “create a high quality tourism destination”.A new road will also be built to the site, as the original application identified a need for improved access, with the original entrance off Fairyland Lane deemed inadequate.
