Redrow Homes has secured planning permission to build a new headquarters for its South East division at the flagship Ebbsfleet Garden City in Kent. The approved plans are for an 11,765 sq ft standalone commercial office building, which features 50 car parking spaces and complementary landscaping. It is expected that the development will provide about 70 jobs, and will be positioned to sit alongside future planned commercial spaces such as a neighbourhood food store, a pub/restaurant and hotel. Redrow said the approval further cements its long-term commitment to Ebbsfleet Garden City, where the housebuilder is creating about 950 new homes at Ebbsfleet Green. The planning approval comes after Redrow posted record profits nationally, aided by the success of the newly-formed South East division, which completed 466 new homes in its first year of trading across developments in Kent and Sussex.
