Plans to extensively refurbish a prominent office building in Belfast to create “much needed” grade A space have been submitted.Oyster House is a seven-storey property located on a city centre junction of Upper Queens Street and Chichester Street.While it is prominently made up of office space, the building is also home to retail and restaurant tenants including Rio Brazil, Home, Stix and Stones and Centra. CBRE are the agency acting on behalf of the developer.The planned work includes refurbishment of the ground floor office lobby and common areas throughout Oyster House to create international standard open environments.An extension to the rear of each floor has also been proposed to provide larger floor plates of 23,800 sq ft.If the plans are approved, Oyster House would comprise 161,800 sq ft of total space.
