4. Description: The Awarding Authority is seeking a rocket launch provider to organise and carry out small rocket launches for the specified location CanSat Competition 2021-22. The CanSat Competition is a European Space Agency competition hosted in the UK by ESERO-UK which provides students the opportunity to have practical experience working on a small-scale space project. The highlight of the competition are the launch campaigns, where each CanSat is launched by rocket to an altitude of 300-400m to collect data during the descent. A launch provider will conduct regional UK launches in March 2022 and a National final launch in April/May 2022.

Decisions will be based on perceived value for money, rather than the lowest cost proposal. In the region of £21,000 (exclusive of VAT) is available for the contract period (November 2021 to April 2022).
