Plans are in for a 192-apartment high-rise scheme in Manchester’s Green Quarter.HOW Planning has submitted a full planning application for Number One Lord Street, which is being developed by Stockport-based Anglesource. The Leach Rhodes Walker-designed scheme is located on the corner of Lord Street and Cheetham Hill Road.The plans envisage creating 192 apartments, of which 76 per cent would have balconies, including a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bed homes. There would be 15 storeys with a part-mezzanine 16th floor.It is also proposed to include 1,894 sq ft of ground-floor retail space, which would be leased to an independent trader.The current site is partially vacant, comprising surface parking and a single-storey cabin-style building. The proposals involve the demolition of the existing structure.
