This DPQQ is published in association with the Prior Information Notice (PIN) 2019/S 142-350711
The UK Army has the following In-Service Support Weapon platforms:
1) Heavy Machine Gun (HMG);

These 2 weapons have been in service for over 10 years with no significant upgrade to the sighting systems to utilise current technologies.
The Support Weapons Enhanced Sighting System (SWESS) Project will resolve this deficiency and replace the current sighting systems
with a capability that allows the User to view and engage targets to the effective range of the weapons in all light conditions, in both mounted and dismounted roles.
The SWESS-Heavy DPQQ is seeking Potential Providers to express their interest in partaking in a competition through two separate Lots to provide sighting systems for the HMG & GMG Support Weapons.
