The group will include EIVA, Sonardyne International, 2D Robotics, Chelsea Technologies, and Wavefront Systems, and aims to enhance marine technology capabilities. Sonardyne International’s Managing Director John Ramsden will take the role of Sonardyne Group CEO on 1st April, supported by Simon Partridge, as Group Chief Strategy Officer and Stephen Fasham, as Group Chief Operating Officer. Graham Brown will take over as Sonardyne International’s Managing Director.
The group entity will provide guidance and direction to the group companies, aiming to promote innovation, integrated offerings, and growth while enabling each group company to continue working independently. Sonardyne Group, headquartered in the UK, has a global footprint through its group companies, including manufacturing facilities, research and development, sales, service and support with facilities in Canada, Denmark, Brazil, Singapore and the US.
Managing Director John Ramsden said: “The past 18 months have seen some significant changes at Sonardyne. Chelsea, then EIVA, and most recently 2G Robotics, have joined the Sonardyne stable, which already included Wavefront Systems.”
“We acquired each company as part of our long-term growth, diversification and expansion strategy, and because of the potential for closer cooperation between us. We also want to maintain each company’s strengths and identity. We bought them because of their respective strengths; we aim to build on and deepen these through the creation of a new organisational structure, Sonardyne Group.”
Sonardyne aims to encourage collaboration while allowing each company to work according to its speciality. They aim to create an easy-to-navigate supply chain for their customer base.
