Brighton & Hove City Council has submitted a bid for £3.7m of lottery funding to support the regeneration of the historic Stanmer Park.The Stanmer Park and Estate Restoration Project aims to restore almost 50 acres of the park’s landscape, as well as grade II-listed buildings.The local authority is hoping to secure a £3.7m grant toward the £5.8m project, and plans to cover the remaining costs through match funding and revenue.A decision is expected to be made in December.
