A pair of residential blocks featuring 83 private rented sector apartments and a large shared garden could soon be created in south Liverpool under newly submitted plans.Carpenter Investments has lodged a full planning application with Liverpool City Council to regenerate a vacant brownfield site in Dingle to create a new scheme known as Brunswick Park. The 1.6-acre plot earmarked for development lies between Grafton Street and the River Mersey. The proposals are privately funded and assisted by the Homes and Communities Agency. It is envisaged that the first block would have 11 one-bed apartments, 44 two-bed apartments and four three-bed apartments while the second would feature 24 two-bed apartments, with some of the rooms offering river views. There would also be a large shared open space between the buildings, which is intended to serve as an enjoyable place to sit and relax.A design and access statement in support of the scheme has been prepared by L7 Architects.Liverpool City Council has not yet set a date to consider the application.
