Plans are set to be lodged to convert the grade II-listed former ABC cinema on Lime Street in Liverpool city centre into a multi-use music and entertainment venue.Now that work has started on the regeneration of the street’s eastern terrace, developer Neptune has said it is able to move forward with the cinema project and revealed that a planning application could be submitted to Liverpool City Council as early as September 2016.The building occupies a prominent corner position sweeping around from Lime Street into Elliot Street.The former ABC cinema, which opened in 1931 as the Forum Cinema, closed in 1998.
