II.2.4) Description of the procurement:
Army HQ has identified a requirement for the Provision of Representative Rubberised Rifles (RRRs) to Initial Training Group (ITG) Ops Groups within the Army Training Centre (ATC) Pirbright. The aim of the RRRs is to allow recruits to enhance the training they go through during the Common Military Syllabus. The RRRs must accurately represent the fully loaded SA80 A2 rifle with a Sight Unit Small Arms Trilux (SUSAT) representative sight fitted.
Contractors should hold at least BS EN ISO 9001:2015 accreditation or equivalent. As a resource aware organisation, ITG HQ would gain additional comfort if the Contractor were also to hold ISO 14001:2015 accreditation or equivalent.
A total of 2 300 RRRs are required to be supplied over a 23 month period, following the development of an agreed Prototype RRR. It is anticipated that the contract will be in place with effect from 31.3.2019 for a 2-year period.
A Cyber Risk Assessment has been carried out for this requirement. The risk has been assessed as not applicable.
