The current contract for Repair and maintenance services of mechanical building installations in Falkirk is projected to end on 21/2/2017 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for Repair and maintenance services of mechanical building installations in Falkirk included assessments of each property to evaluate the risk of bacteriological safety and risk of Legionella in the existing domestic water systems and process water systems within the properties in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice and Guidance L8 The Control of Legionella Bacteria in water systems (Fourth Edition, published 2013) by the Health and Safety Executive and BS8580:2010.This contract will be split into 2 lists. The 1st list will be what Falkirk Council regards as ‘medium’ risk properties for Legionella. A water quality risk assessment and a water service inventory investigation to be carried out. The 2nd list will be what Falkirk Council regards as ‘Low’ risk properties for Legionella. A water services inventory investigation to be carried out.
