The Met Office has identified a potential requirement for the provision of polar orbiting satellite data reception infrastructure.
A recent review of our polar systems has highlighted that some of our existing reception infrastructure is now approaching end-of-life. This has led us to start considering our requirements for the future of polar reception at Exeter and how we might meet them.
We are therefore currently investigating potential upgrade and/or replacement paths for our polar reception infrastructure.

In light of the above, the Met Office are currently seeking informal expressions of interest and some insight from the market as to the current capabilities on offer, in order to help inform us of what the most optimal solutions might be to meet our future requirements.
