NHS England, Specialised Commissioning for the North Region have direct responsibility for commissioning for Healthcare in prisons and secure settings. This is a Call for Competition as per Regulation 75 (i) (B (iv)) of the Public Contract Regulations (PCR) 2015. The Contracting Authority intends to award a public contract without further publication and invite who wish to bid for this contract to express their interest in writing via the e-tendering portal 24.9.2018.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
NHS England, Specialised Commissioning for the North Region have direct commissioning responsibility for commissioning high quality and value for money healthcare services within prisons and secure settings. The service provision is for Support and activities for Older People in Prison. The service seeks to initiate a prison based service for those over the age of 50 to encourage service users to take an active role in improving both their physical and mental health. Providers are expected and encouraged to show innovation.
As per Regulation 75 (i) (B (iv)) of the Public Contracts Regulations (PCR) 2015, the Contracting Authority intends to award a public
Contract without further publication and invite interested providers to express their interest in writing by 24.9.2018, 12:00 noon. If there are no further expressions of interest the Contracting Authority will start a direct award process for the contract term of 3 years with an optional extension of 12 months at the discretion of the Contracting Authority and subject to contractual and financial performance.
