Hull-based Wright Civil Engineering has been appointed to the carriageway widening works on the city’s Anlaby Road.The project, which will cost £347,988, has been deemed necessary to remove the pinch point outside of Hull Royal Infirmary and relieve congestion for motorists using the arterial route.Hull City Council appointed Wright Civil Engineering after the company “demonstrated the best value in terms of quality and price”.Work will start work on 22 August 2016.The scheme will introduce two outbound lanes opposite the hospital to address the bottle neck issues currently being experienced.
