The Defence Equipment and Support (DE and S) Underwater Electronic Warfare (UEW) Delivery Team (DT) is considering procuring complete breathing air diving systems for military diving teams including initial project and safety documentation.
This would consist of around 650 systems (with an initial buy of 150 by 31.5.2019) and in-service support for 2 years from delivery.
Delivery of all systems would be before 30.9.2019 (with early delivery encouraged) and the total value of the contract is expected to range from circa 3 000 000 GBP.
Expectation is for a mature Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) solution requiring no modification.
As part of the evaluation process, tenderers will be expected to undergo User and Maintainer trials against the requirement in early 2019 to determine the winning bid.
The Systems Requirement Document (SRD) will be released with the Invitation To Negotiate (ITN) tender documents and will be classified as Official Sensitive.
This Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been issued in order to better understand the market, the Authority is inviting interested parties to provide details on their capabilities in this field. This PIN is not a means to seek formal expressions of interest; that opportunity may become available when the UEW DT has an improved understanding of the market. Your email shall be no longer than 300 words and shall provide evidence of your experience with breathing air diving systems and capability to deliver in-service support. This information will not be used to down select suppliers, that will be conducted via a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. Any information provided for the above will be kept confidential.
