II.1.4) Short Description: Link Group Ltd and its subsidiaries (as detailed below) (“Link”) is following a two-stage procurement procedure in accordance with the requirements of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 / the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 to appoint a supplier or two suppliers to provide it with Occupational Health Services (Lot 1) and Employee Assistance Services (Lot 2) in a 4 year contract for services.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement:
The provision of Occupational Health Services will fall under three distinct services;
a) Pre-Employment Health Screening/Checks
The pre-employment screening process is essential to ensure that new employees and relief workers are fit to carry out the role of which they have been appointed. The screening will also assist with providing medical and specialist support and guidance to Link on any reasonable adjustments to accommodate the new employee/worker.
The pre-employment screening process will be adapted for the role and will be tailored to determine fit for work requirements only. This will comply with data protection legislation in terms of only asking prospective new employees for the minimum level of information to ensure their fitness for work. The proposed screening profiles include:
b) Employment Related Employee Health Checks
Link is planning to introduce the following checks in the duration of the contract based:
– Hepatitis B vaccine at advised intervals for the c275 staff working based on their work role and environment.
– Other inoculations as required e.g. flu vaccine
– Audio monitoring
– Link is seeking to review the implementation of drug and alcohol testing
c) Occupational Health Referral Services
Employer referrals for employees, workers and volunteers to undertake an independent medical assessment as appropriate with medical professionals to provide advice on medical conditions and their impact on the individual to undertake their post, reasonable adjustments, phased return to work plans and advice as to whether the medical condition meets the legal definition of a disability i.e. DSE assessment for employee with medical condition, what equipment / adaptation would they recommend for the medical condition.
