Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Requirement is for testing, repair and overhaul, fault investigation and help desk facility for the ARC 201D radios.

The Apache Project Team, part of the Ministry of Defence, intends to award a contract to Harris Defence Limited for the duration of three (3) years with a further one (1) year options to extend until 2024, for the testing, repair and overhaul, fault investigation and help desk facility for the ARC 201D Radio.

It is considered that this contract can be placed using the negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice pursuant to Regulation 16 (a) (ii) of the UK Defence and Security Public Contract Regulation 2011. It is considered that on the basis of technical difficulties that Harris Defence Limited is the only UK subsidiary of Harris Corporation and therefore have the necessary access to drawings, technical information and test equipment to repair the ARC 201D Radio.
