VII.2) Information about modifications VII.2.1) Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications(with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):
As a result of unforeseen emergent work a contract uplift has been sought to allow for completion of the major maintenance of the Lancaster Aircraft so as to meet scheduling and contract closure 31.7.2017.

Need for additional works,services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire (Art.43(1)(b)
of Directive 2014/23/EU, Art.72(1)(b) of Directive 2014/24/EU, Art.89(1)(b) of Directive 2014/25/EU)
Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a
change of contractor:
A change of contractor cannot be made for technical reason, due to the additional emergent work required being heavily dependent upon the knowledge and work already commenced by the current contractor. The contractor has the appropriate MAOS (Maintenance Approved Organisation Scheme) which is a key requirement to carry out maintenance for the Lancaster. A change in contractor would incur duplicate costs and work as associated with transfer of the aircraft and re-work of release paperwork.
