4. Description: The awarding authority is seeking expressions of interest from qualified subcontractors capable of delivering pneumatic installation services to support the installation and commissioning of the CrisBag® baggage handling system at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 2.
This is a multi‑phase project taking place within a high‑security, AIRSIDE operational environment, requiring disciplined coordination, strong technical competence, and proven experience in industrial pneumatic systems.
The subcontractor will be responsible for:
Installation of pneumatic systems and components associated with the CrisBag® baggage handling equipment.
Executing works in accordance with BEUMER’s technical instructions and quality standards.
Supporting on‑site modifications to pneumatic elements as required.
Working collaboratively with BEUMER mechanical and electrical installation teams, and cooperating with other third parties operating within the airport.
Ensuring full compliance with Heathrow Airport safety, security, and permitting requirements.
We anticipate the following resource and activity timelines:
Phase 1: Stillage FAT Preparation (Poyle Warehouse)
Date: 9 April 2026 – 1 May 2026
Activities: Installation and preparation of stillage units ahead of AIRSIDE deployment.
Phase 2: AIRSIDE Stillage Installation
Current Access Window: 27 May 2027 – October 2027 (subject to Heathrow confirmation)
Activities: Installation of CrisBag® stillages and associated pneumatic systems within the Terminal 2 baggage halls.
Subcontractors must demonstrate the ability to mobilise experienced installers in line with these schedule requirements.
We invite interest from companies that can demonstrate:
Proven capability in industrial pneumatic system installation.
Experience in airport, automation, manufacturing, or material‑handling environments.
Strong safety record and competency working in highly regulated, high‑security environments.
Ability to provide skilled labour and supervision for multi‑month installation programmes.
