4. Description: The Awarding Authority intends to award a contract for the procurement and support to a range of Communications Ancillaries and Hearing Protection (CA&HP), suitable for a variety of operational environments and scenarios. The scope of this contract is defined for a specialised operational role with diverse requirements, rather than across the entirety of Defence.
The support requirement includes, but is not limited to, the provision of spares, firmware upgrades, fault resolution and compliance with relevant safety standards. Suppliers must be capable of supporting the integration of CA&HP systems with a wide range of in-service and new-to-service radios and platforms. This includes providing equipment to enable seamless interoperability, ensuring equipment users can effectively communicate and operate in complex and dynamic environments.
The contract will be awarded for an initial period of 3-years, with the option to extend for a further three one-year options, up to 31 March 2033. The anticipated contract start date is 1 April 2027, with a potential short mobilisation period option prior to this date.
The estimated Contract value for the initial three-year term is circa £4.68 million, with (without commitment) three one-year option years, estimated at circa £1.45 million, per year. The Authority anticipates that there will be reviews and further CA&HP requirements for similar projects throughout the life of the contract and therefore includes a potential maximum value of £41.5M.
To ensure successful delivery, it is essential that suppliers have a reliable route to market to facilitate the ongoing procurement and support of the current in-service CA&HP deliverables, primarily INVISIO.
The Authority can only consider UK registered companies, due to security classification.
