This can be seen as an opportunity to support new product development activity and develop a working relationship with Dstl for awareness of future opportunities in the field.

Dstl request responses from suppliers who either already have or are thinking of developing an MCR product. As a guide, the product should meet some of the following requirements:
A design that maximises the RCS response of the MCR
A design that maintains a high RCS outside a lab environment
A design that is scalable for different applications.
A broadband frequency response
A large RCS over a wide azimuth and elevation range, or a steerable solution
The ability to deploy from a small form factor
Switchable RCS (An RCS effect that can be turned on and off in some way)
In a letter response, the developer shall provide a description of their solution alongside an indication of the current Technology Readiness Level. The supplier should also provide an indication of timescales required to realise a prototype for RCS measurements.
In addition to this, Dstl intends to conduct technical measurements of supplier nominated product(s) at a future trial at QinetiQ Funtington, West Sussex. If the supplier is interested in attending the trial they will be required to meet the requirements of Dstl’s Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) and submit this alongside their letter response.
