4. Description: The purpose of the security provision for the ATS is to ensure that the service can run with the appropriate security detail. The security provision is required to ensure that the patients referred into the scheme can be seen for their medical needs within a GP practice albeit in a controlled fashion with security provision present. The provider will be required to escort the patient from the reception area within the practice to the consultation room, remain outside the door during the consultation unless instructed by the practice otherwise. Once the patient’s consultation is complete the security guards will then escort the patient out of the practice.

Total quantity or scope of tender
The agreement will be for a one (1) year term, with the option to extend for a further 12 months. The initial term of the contract will be from 1st October 2024 until the 30th September 2025, optional extension period from the 1st October 2025 until the 30th September 2026.
Minimum standards and qualification required
Bidders to confirm that they are registered and accredited with the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
Bidders to confirm that they are qualified in Level 2 Award in Door Security within the Private Security Industry. Certification to be provided, the Awarding body to be Highfield Qualification, National Open College Network (NOCN), Pearson, Qualification Network (QNUK) and SFJ Awards
Bidders to confirm that security guards will be qualified to at least Level 3 in Conflict Management.
