The project will replace two existing ACP CIS equipment sets, representing the augmentation of organic CIS capabilities of a JTF host ship.
Project Objective
This Project “Replace and Sustain DCIS Afloat Command Platform (ACP) for NRF” will deliver two of DCIS Points of Presence (DPOP) in support of the Joint Task Force (JTF) HQ exercising command from on-board of a maritime unit. A JTF HQ can be deployed on a ship, using the ACP while at sea or alongside, allowing the JTF HQ to sail at short notice.
The systems to be delivered, (DCIS AFLOAT), will give NATO deployed forces access to NATO’s strategic communication infrastructure and provide secure and non-secure voice, video and data services.
This project will complement and interoperate with the current generation of DCIS POPs (or DPOPs), e.g. Firefly, Dragonfly, in support of voice, video and data communications between deployed elements of the NRF and the static or deployed HQs of the NATO Command Structure (NCS).
